Working with solicitors
The locating and contacting of missing beneficiaries and unknown heirs is probably the most common problem facing solicitors dealing with wills and trusts. At Missing Links we pride
ourselves on providing excellent research with a personal service,
As a small local business we have contained our operating overheads to concentrate on investing in the tools necessary for fast and efficient research. Consequently, we are able to base our fees on a
highly competitive hourly rate – particularly important for modest estates with limited funds.
We know that not all cases are the same so we offer two alternative fee options to suit your needs.
Contingency Fees are often preferred by solicitors and their clients as they provide the comfort of ‘no trace no fee’ by protecting heirs and trust from research fees that do not yield new
beneficiaries. We agree to be paid a share of the entitlement of each part of the family we find.
Fixed Fees can be more appropriate where there is a need to set a budget or a time limit for research before embarking on it. In these instances all research is paid for irrespective of
results.
If your practice is trying to close a file but cannot locate all the beneficiaries, call Missing Links and let us solve the problem for you.
